● Soybean exports of key African countries reached a record 1.8-1.9 Mn T in Jan/Dec 2023, more than a doubling within two years. Soya meal exports were boosted to a high of 1.0 Mn T.

● EU imports of rapeseed & canola are set to rise in 2024/25 to offset sharply reduced domestic stocks and production.

● World crushings of soybeans increased by 5.7 Mn T or 8% on the year in Jan/March 2024, reflecting upward revisions in Argentina, Brazil and the USA.

● Ukrainian rapeseed crushings are seen quadrupling to 1.0 Mn T in July/June 2023/24, favoured by a record crop of almost 4.6 Mn T.
